Today Creative Assembly released a new Total War: Warhammer II trailer focusing on the upcoming DLC The Warden & The Paunch. This time around, we take a look at an iconic unit making its entrance. Total War: WARHAMMER II The Warden & The Paunch - PARADOX. The Warden & the Paunch is the latest Lords Pack for Total War: WARHAMMER II. Introducing two rival Legendary Lords from the world of Warhammer Fantasy Battles, each with their own factions, objectives, mechanics, units and playstyle, for use in both the Eye of the Vortex and Mortal Empires campaigns, and custom/multiplayer battles.

Feral Interactive announced today that the work has been completed on porting over the Total War: WARHAMMER II - The Warden & The Paunch DLC. A short delay as we've come to expect, with it being available on Windows since May 21. Not long to wait though and Feral always communicate how it will be 'shortly after' when these things get announced.

Some of what it offers includes:
- Two new Legendary Lords, pitted against one another in a fierce rivalry from which only one will emerge.
- Eltharion the Grim commands Tor Yvresse for the High Elves.
- Grom the Paunch leads the Broken Axe Tribe for the Greenskins.
- As Eltharion, swoop into battle on his mighty Griffon, command High Elven Archmages and Lion Chariots drawn by ferocious War Lions.
- As Grom, ride across the world and into battle atop the Chariot of Grom, and cook up special feasts for the boyz in Grom’s Cauldron.
- Recruit elite Regiments of Renown for either faction to cut down your enemies where they stand.
Additionally, the DLC release for Linux also brings along 'The Total WAAAGH! Update'. It completely changes the original WAAGH! mechanics where a Greenkins army would hit peak Fightiness and spawn a second, AI-controlled companion army. Instead, the WAAAGH! is now this big faction-wide event which you can plan around and have control over. Even if you don't buy the DLC with this update both Eltharion the Grim and Grom da Paunch with their factions will appear in campaigns as the AI.

Grom the Paunch/Broken Axe are Greenskins. Greenskins were originally introduced in Total War: Warhammer. Does this mean I need to own Warhammer 1 to play as Grom in Warhammer 2?
- No. You don't need to own any prior games, or prior game DLC, to play as Grom. You just need to own Total War: Warhammer II and the paid DLC The Warden and the Paunch.
Since Grom the Paunch/Broken Axe are Greenskins, they should be playable in the first game, right?
- No. The Warden and the Paunch is a new DLC for a new game. It doesn't apply back to the first game. Grom and his faction aren't playable in the first game.
Will Grom be playable in the upcoming Total War: Warhammer III?
- We don't know yet for sure, but most likely yes. However it will probably require owning Total War: Warhammer II and The Warden and the Paunch in addition to Total War: Warhammer III.
